There are rumours around that Michael Schumacher may be considering a temorary return to F1 to cover for the injured Ferrari driver Felipe Massa.

According to reports, Schumacher’s spokesperson has stated that he has “not ruled out” the possibility.

Now aged 40 and still suffering the effects on his neck of a motorcycle accident in Febraury it seems unlikely but if it was to happen, the 2009 F1 season would take on a whole new dimension.

The folks at LHB Towers wish Felipe Massa a speedy recovery after his horrific crash during qualifying for the Hungarian Grand Prix.

He hit a tyre wall after some debris hit his helmet. He underwent emergency surgery at AEK Hospital in Budapest and press reports indicate that the operation went well.

This has happened just days after Formula Two driver Henry Surtees lost his life in an accident at Brands Hatch and there are bound to be calls for further safety improvements across all motor sports.

Whatever does happen, lets hope Massa is up and about quickly.
